Juniper Creative is proud to deliver our Performing Arts Study Programme, in partnership with Peterborough Performing Arts, based at The Key Theatre, the city’s vibrant creative hub.

This is Peterborough’s only standalone performing arts college, offering a specialist, full-time programme designed for passionate young performers ready to take their training seriously.

Programme Structure

Year 1
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Foundation Diploma in Performing Arts

Year 2
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Performing Arts

Intakes take place every September.

What You Will Study

Our programme delivers professional, industry-focused training across three core disciplines: dance, acting and vocal performance — alongside essential performance and industry skills.

This broad and rigorous curriculum ensures students graduate as confident, versatile performers, fully prepared for further study, auditions and professional opportunities within the industry.

Progression Opportunities

On completion of the Extended Diploma, students can progress to:

  • Degrees in Performing Arts, Theatre Studies, Dance, Drama, Choreography or Acting
  • HNC/HND qualifications in Performing Arts, Acting or Dance
  • Employment opportunities including performing, choreography, directing, Theatre in Education (TIE), devising and project leadership

Our focus is not just on qualification achievement, but on progression and long-term career development.

Entry Requirements

  • A minimum of four GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent).

Students who do not hold a Grade 4 or above in English and/or Maths will be required to resit these subjects alongside their programme of study.

Financial Support – Bursary

All students enrolled on the course can apply for a bursary to support their learning, subject to household income and eligibility criteria.

Full details on thresholds, evidence requirements and the application process will be provided upon application to the course.
