Traineeships

Empowering futures, one trainee at a time

Our Traineeships are the perfect stepping stone before starting an Apprenticeship or employment.

Our Traineeships are the perfect stepping stone before starting an Apprenticeship or employment.

Looking to gain valuable work experience, improve your employability skills, and take the next step towards an apprenticeship, further education, or employment? A Traineeship can help you build the confidence, knowledge, and workplace skills employers are looking for.

Our Traineeship programmes are designed for young people aged 16-18, or up to 24 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Typically lasting from 9 weeks, the programme combines meaningful work experience with employability training, helping you develop the skills, behaviours, and experience needed to succeed in the workplace.

Whether you’ve struggled to secure an apprenticeship, are unsure about your next steps, or want to boost your confidence and job prospects, a Traineeship can help you progress towards a brighter future.

Why choose a Traineeship

What do our Traineeships include?

  • Work preparation training to help you develop employability skills, job search techniques, confidence and workplace behaviours.
  • Meaningful work experience which provides insight and experience of the world of work and makes you more attractive to potential employers.

What are the benefits of a Traineeship?

  • Employers are at the centre of Traineeships to ensure they give you the skills needed.
  • At the end of the work experience placement you’ll get a guaranteed job interview with the company.
  • A Traineeship will put you in a better position to compete for an Apprenticeship or secure a job.
  • Traineeships give you the opportunity to build your CV and get vital experience with local and national employers.

You could be suitable for a Traineeship if you:

  • Aged 16-18, or 19-24 with an EHCP.
  • Are unemployed (or work less than 16 hours per week) and have little work experience.
  • Are motivated to gain employment and develop your workplace skills.
  • Have achieved Level 2 Functional Skills or GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths.
