Work Experience

All students have the opportunity to go on work experience placements with real employers in the occupational sector that they are interested in.  Here is a sample of the placements that our students have been on.

We have been working closely with Juniper for several months to provide local youngsters valuable work experience within a variety of roles (mainly IT). The relationship between both parties is positive and supportive which reflects in the continuous placements we provide. We provide a structured and comprehensive Induction program/placement alongside duties that develop a variety of skills and knowledge over a period of time that will positively impact the students chances of gaining future employment or training.

All students that we have offered work experience placements to are well prepared and take a proactive approach in developing their own skills which is supported by ourselves and Juniper throughout their program. We have recently taken on a Juniper student as an Apprentice after he showed the right commitment, passion and skill sets to forge a career as an IT Technician.

The service and support provided by Juniper is excellent and we look forward to continuing working with them moving forward.

We have had several young people on work placement from Juniper in our electrical and appliance serving departments. We have generally found that they are motivated, engaged and positive young people. They receive strong support from Juniper and any issues that may arise are quickly picked up and addressed. We have gone on to offer two of the young people Apprenticeship positions within Chapman’s Electrical and both are doing very well.
