Relationships with Employers
We have long standing relationships with numerous employers spanning many occupational sectors. We invite small, medium and large employers to be involved in the design of our courses, so that they meet employer needs, both now and in the future. Our courses provide students with the skills and qualifications to succeed in the world of work.
We work very closely with our employers, and they offer support with:
- Talks and presentations to students
- Visits and tours of real workplaces
- Mock interview sessions, so students get a real employer interview
- Work experience, so that students get to see and have a go at the job they are interested in, whilst being guided by expert staff
- Progressions to apprenticeships or jobs with training
We have been looking to strengthen our team and Juniper Stockport approached us at the right time. It’s great to see local community work closely together, providing brighter futures for the local young people. Our needs were identified well by the staff; communication was and still is second to none. We have now employed a bright young man, who has had a great experience; he is hard working, pro-active and has already progressed within the team.

At Godiva Bearings we have always tried to recruit from the local area so when we were approached by Juniper Waterfront to take on young people for work experience we jumped at the chance.
Juniper has always had the interest of the employee at heart and they have matched many of these young workers with Godiva Bearings extremely well. We even had a work experience candidate start a full time apprenticeship.

Juniper Waterfront have worked with Interserve to supply potential staff using work experience days with the company on site at our Healthcare Contract in Dudley. We were able to find young people who hadn’t had much time in a workplace so came with no preconceptions or ideas; but they were willing, bright and conscientious in their approach to the work undertaken on site. We have found someone that we are keen to offer employment to, in a position where they can grow and gain many skill sets which should see that they prosper and are able to fulfil their full potential.
We found Juniper supportive through the work experience period offering a variety of services that help enable the smooth transition from a young work experience person to a potential employee!

Mode are happy to offer work experience placements to students at Juniper Training, Stockport. We feel it’s important for young people to try different aspects of a business so we offer experience in administration, social media, website updates and pastoral care.

We understand that having a student on work experience requires an investment of employer time and support so that both the student and employer gets the most from the experience. These young people are the future of our workforce and it’s important that they get to see the workplace first hand, whilst being supported by enthusiastic supervisors.
To ensure that both our employers and students get the most from the work experience placement, our Progression Coordinators are always on hand to provide ongoing support. This includes telephone contact, visits, progress reviews and discussions around progression.

We also offer employers a recruitment solution service, to support them in filling hard to fill vacancies. Our Employer Engagement Team, based at head office, would be delighted to discuss this further with you. Alternatively, you can contact the Progression Coordinator at your local centre.
I have always found the team at Juniper Telford to be very supportive to us and their students. They have always placed students with us who are both willing and eager to learn; in fact last year we offered one of their students an Apprenticeship which he completes in April this year.
The opportunities that Juniper offer these students is fantastic and I hope we continue to have a relationship with them for a long time to come.
