Gemma Martyn – August 2011

Gemma was an excellent learner. She was committed to her work and had a direct focus on her career aspirations. She has now gained a fantastic Apprenticeship at Derbyshire County Council in their Revenues Department where she will learn many new skills within an office environment.

Gemma said: "I have gained lots from the course. I am more confident, more motivated, gained further qualifications and made lots of new friends. I couldn't have done it without Juniper’s help"

Jack Watkins – August 2011

Jack was a great team player and wanted a career in construction.  He has fulfilled his dream and gained an apprenticeship at Carillion.

Jack said: "The XL course was a great way to help me get this apprenticeship. I was able to work on my interview techniques so that I could get this job!"

Laura Bargh – August 2011

Laura has gained her perfect apprenticeship, working within the care sector. Her Apprenticeship is going to enable her to work with children with special needs, helping them develop and realise their potential. Laura has worked very hard to gain this and we wish her every success for the future.

Ben Harber – August 2011

Ben joined us in April with no qualifications, through excellent attendance and attitude he gained the NOCN diploma and 3 functional skills.  He then secured an apprenticeship with JML in Health & Social Care.

Ben said: "I enjoyed my time at Juniper and I am glad that I got my qualifications.  The teachers helped me a lot"

Nicole Hough – August 2011

Nicole joined Juniper in March 2011 to upgrade her qualification to get into college.  She completed her NOCN diploma and L1 English Functional Skill.  She has secured a part time job as a PA and telesales executive to work around her college course.

Nicole said: "Juniper was much better than school, they treated me like an adult and supported me"

Rida Zahra – August 2011

Rida came to Juniper with one passion and that was to get an apprenticeship in ICT with Zenos. Through hard work and several 1-2-1 sessions with the Training Officers she passed the Zenos assessments with only 4 days left before enrolment.

Rida said: "I am happy to get into Zenos and I would like to thank all the staff at Juniper"

Ryan Withnall – August 2011

Ryan came to Juniper wanting an apprenticeship in warehousing and that's what he has achieved.

Ryan said: ‘I'm really happy I came to Juniper. They have helped me get where I want to be and I have now got an apprenticeship in Warehousing’.

Natalie at LATA said: "We are really pleased with the young people that come to us from Juniper. Ryan is settling in well and we are sure he will succeed"

Josh Jones– August 2011

Josh joined the XL Programme to help him pursue his ambition of joining the Army, and he did exactly that.  He has officially enrolled into the 3rd Mercian Regiment on the 22ndAugust and we are all very proud of him.

Upon leaving Juniper, Josh said: "It was good, I have improved my English, met new people and made friends. I am looking forward to new experiences in the Army and seeing what it’s all about"

Mohammed Ali – August 2011

Mohammed achieved his goal by progressing from XL into a full time job at Boots Warehouse. He has a baby on the way & is very relieved to have secured employment!

Mo said: "I didn't know what I was going to do with my life when I started Juniper, I had already been kicked off a course at college. They made me realise I could do more with my life.  The feeling I got from getting the job at Boots – I was buzzing! I now can support my girlfriend & afford nice things. I can’t wait to start driving lessons"

Boots Warehouse said: "Mo came across very well at the interview, he was very well prepared! He has been getting on fine"

Sally-Ann Foster – July 2011

Sally got her dream apprenticeship after finishing the XL into child care apprenticeship with Ellie Bears Day Nursery - her dream job. Well done Sally

Sally-Ann says: "XL was brilliant for me as it gave me the confidence to ring round and find my placement.  The XL team were really friendly and I would recommend XL to my friends"

Adam Normoyle – July 2011

Adam gained an apprenticeship in I.T. at Ivanhoe Specialist Technology College as IT Support. Adam was wanting a career in I.T. but wanted to learn while earning some money - he has succeeded!

Adam Says: "I can't believe how far I've come, when I joined Juniper I didn't have a clue what I wanted to do – they gave me direction, support & motivation to do something with myself! I never thought I would actually get a job in I.T. but Juniper made me see this was possible!"

Ivanhoe Specialist Technology College say: "Adam works well with our I.T. support staff here at Ivanhoe!"

Clarah Sewell – June 2011

Clarah joined Juniper in February and made the decision that she wanted to get an apprenticeship in Customer Service, and she secured this within 6 weeks of joining the programme with JML!

Clarah says: "I've had a fantastic time at Juniper and I feel that it is a good course for young people from the ages of 16 to 18"

"They helped me to get my apprenticeship when I had only been on the course for 6 weeks, and now I have started I am so happy."

Hannah – June 2011

Hannah XL’d and progressed into an apprenticeship with Kennet Equipment Leasing in Coleshill. 

Hannah is doing fantastically well and is saving her salary to buy her first car. 

We wish Hannah and Kennet Equipment Leasing all the very best for the future.

 

Lauren Ashmore

Lauren made her dreams come true by progressing from XL into a apprenticeship with Fitness First - her dream job. She passed her theory exam to become a fitness instructor (2nd highest pass in her class). She is now saving for a girl’s holiday abroad!

Lauren says: "I was so shy when I went to Juniper & wasn't really sure what I wanted to do with my life! I mentioned I was interested in fitness so they looked for a placement, I couldn't believe it when it was at Fitness First I was so nervous. But loved it!"

Megan Thompson – June 2011

Megan joined Juniper in February with the goal of gaining an apprenticeship in retail.  After a few weeks on programme, she secured a Retail apprenticeship with JML!

Megan says: "I really enjoyed attending Juniper. The staff are really friendly and helpful and always willing to help. They also helped me to get an interview for an apprenticeship when I'd only been on the programme for a few weeks. Now I've started my apprenticeship I'm really proud of myself."
